Qualitative research in the context of systematic reviews is a new and growing area of research. As such, there are many learners who are developing methodology, but few who would classify themselves as an expert - we are all in the position of being learners.

Course Content
This two-day developmental workshop will be participatory with speakers and participants sharing experiences and learning from each other
Reviewers who are currently working on reviews will describe some of the challenges and lessons learned from their projects
Participants will identify areas where knowledge about approaches to systematic review has advanced
Those who are new to the process can develop some hands on skills and identify further training needs
Everyone can identify areas needing further development
Experiences will be fed back to the Cochrane Qualitative Methods Review Group, to help in the development of training
There will also be a chance to top up your qualitative literature searching skills during hands on searching sessions.
